truncateClob()

The lobLib.truncateClob() system function truncates the value referenced by a CLOB variable.

Syntax

  lobLib.truncateClob(
    clobVariable CLOB inOut,
    length BIGINT in)

clobVariable: A CLOB variable. If this parameter has a null value, EGL throws a NullValueException.
length: The number of bytes (not characters) in the output. If length is less than 0 or greater than the length of the CLOB, EGL throws a RuntimeException.
