To create a new Db2® configuration, select option 1 from the configuration menu.

To configure CICS® IA for an IBM® Db2® database, you must complete the following fields:
- SHORT OR FULL CONFIGURATION
- Set this option to S (Short), if you want to create a new collection (CICS®) configuration by specifying the minimum number of required variables.
All of the other variables are set to default values. Set this option to F (Full), if you want to
specify all of the required variables.
REQUIRED.
- CONFIGURATION NAME
- The name of the upgraded Db2® configuration. Set this
variable to something meaningful such as the name of the Db2®
subsystem in which you are creating the CICS® IA Db2® database.
REQUIRED.
- DESCRIPTION
- A short description of the Db2® configuration.
