Truststore password not found at upgrade time

About this task

If you are upgrading from a version earlier than 10.2.1, certificates are automatically upgraded to work with version 10.2.7 and no intervention is required on your part.

However, if IBM® Workload Scheduler cannot retrieve the password for the truststore, the upgrade stops and a message similar to the following is displayed: WAINST0508E: unable to obtain the truststore password. Ensure that the Liberty password utility is installed. If not, install it or define an environment variable named JKS_SSL_PASSWORD and set it to the missing password.

In this case, proceed as stated in the message:

Procedure

  1. Define an environment variable with name JKS_SSL_PASSWORD.
  2. Set it to the password you defined for the certificates.
  3. Restart the upgrade process.
