What if the VER command won't work for you?

If VER already exists in your ISPF command table, the VER command won't work in FM/IMS. Instead you can use a synonym called LVL. The LVL command can be issued in the same way as the VER command.

An alternative way to display version information is to select Help > 6. About from the Action Bar on any panel or enter the ABOUT primary command.

The current FM/IMS version number and the PTF number of the File Manager IMS component are displayed. The window also shows the copyright information and any notes that are shipped with the product.
