  You can customize File Manager for national languages other than English.

  After you have completed the initial installation and customization of File Manager base function, you can perform the following steps to verify your customization.

Translating the panel text

All File Manager panels are provided in English.

They are also provided in Japanese if you have installed the File Manager Japanese component.

You can translate some or all of these panels into another language. (If no translated version of a particular panel is available, File Manager uses the English version.)

All File Manager panels are stored in FMN.SFMNPENU. You translate a panel as follows:

Find the members in FMN.SFMNPENU that you want to translate. The panel members specific to the File Manager base function are all named FMNxzzzz or FMN0zzzz where x is an alphabetic character (A—Z). (FM/IMS panels are named FMN1zzzz and FM/Db2 panels are named FMN2zzzz.)
Create a library with the same characteristics as FMN.SFMNPENU, with the name FMN.SFMNPyyy, where yyy is the same language code that you specified to change your print and display translation tables. (See 4.a.) Copy the required panel members from FMN.SFMNPENU to this library.
Change the required panel text in the members in your library. A panel may reference a help panel by means of a .HELP statement. If any panel you are changing contains any of these .HELP statements, also copy and change these referenced members in your library.
