TTC (Tape to Tape Compare)
- Purpose
- Compares two tapes byte by byte.
- Usage notes
- Use this function to compare, byte by byte, the data on one tape
with the data on another. This function is particularly useful if
you have made a copy of a tape, and you want to check that the duplicate
is exactly the same as the original. Comparison starts at the current
tape position of each tape. When the first difference is found, comparison
stops and the comparison results are printed.
Specify a DDNAME for the tape.
- Options
- You can compare the entire tape, or a specific number of files.
