BSR (Backward Space Record)
- Purpose
- Move the tape backward one or more physical records (blocks).
- Usage notes
- A physical tape record is either a block of data bytes or a tape
mark.
A tape mark is treated as a special record. For each tape mark crossed,
File Manager displays an information message.
Specify a DDNAME for the tape.

- Refers to a DD or TSO ALLOC statement.

- nblks
- Number of tape blocks to be spaced backward. The maximum is 99 999 999; the default is 1. A tape mark is considered a block.
