When you select Tape Positioning
Functions, the Tape Positioning Functions menu
shown in Figure 1 is displayed.

to select one of the options shown below.

Note: To correctly position a tape, you should know the format of the tape. Refer to z/OS DFSMS: Using Magnetic
Tapes.
