Logging on to a different Rational® ClearQuest® database

In a Rational® ClearQuest® environment, you can open and log on to a different database at any time. However, you can only have one database open at a time.

About this task

To open and log onto a different database in the Rational® ClearQuest® for Windows® client:

Procedure

  1. Click File > Open Database.

    If multiple schema repositories are available, the Rational® ClearQuest® Schema Repository window opens. Follow the instructions in Step 2.

    Otherwise, the Rational® ClearQuest® Login window opens. Follow the instructions in Step 3.

  2. If the Rational® ClearQuest® Schema Repository window opens, select the repository that contains the database you need and click Next.

  3. Enter your user name and password in the User Name and Password fields, select a database from the Database list, and click OK.

Results

The main window of the Rational® ClearQuest® for Windows® client opens.

What to do next

Note:
You do not need to close a database before opening a new one. However, to close a database, click File > Close Database.
