- Using your Rational® ClearQuest® Web client
  Rational® ClearQuest® Web is a browser-based interface to Rational ClearQuest that runs on Windows, the UNIX system, and Linux. You can track defects and change requests in Rational ClearQuest Web through this interface. When a session times out, you can re-authenticate and continue where you left off because the state of the user interface is retained.

Using the Rational® ClearQuest® Client

Use the Rational® ClearQuest® Client to submit, modify, and track change requests and to analyze project progress.

The Rational® ClearQuest® Client is a standalone client based on the Eclipse platform. This client is available on Windows™, the UNIX™ system and Linux™.

The Rational® ClearQuest® Client is installed as part of the Rational® ClearQuest® software installation. It does not require any post-installation configuration to perform Rational® ClearQuest® functions. To start the client, click Start > Programs > IBM Rational > IBM Rational ClearQuest > ClearQuest.
