Configuring the Import Tool

You can customize the behavior of the Import Tool with the Import Tool preference page.

Procedure

Open the Rational® ClearQuest® Web client Client.
Click Tools > Preferences > Rational® ClearQuest® Web client > ImportTool.
The Import Tool preference page opens.
Customize these options on the preference page to configure the behavior of the Import Tool:
- In the How to deal with reference-list field values during update record section you can choose to either replace or append reference-list field values during an update operation. The default value is Append values.
- The Insert non-existing record during update option controls whether or not a new record is inserted in the Rational® ClearQuest® user database during an update operation if the record to be updated doesn't exist in the target user database. This option is selected by default.
Close the ImportTool preference page and open the Advanced preference page.
You can use this page to specify a default import directory.
