Configuring the Import Tool
You can customize the behavior of the Import Tool with the Import Tool preference page.
Procedure
- Open the Rational® ClearQuest® Web client Client.

The Import Tool preference page opens.
- Customize these options on the preference page to configure
the behavior of the Import Tool:
- In the How to deal with reference-list field values during update record section you can choose to either replace or append reference-list field values during an update operation. The default value is Append values.
- The Insert non-existing record during update option controls whether or not a new record is inserted in the Rational® ClearQuest® user database during an update operation if the record to be updated doesn't exist in the target user database. This option is selected by default.
- Close the ImportTool preference
page and open the Advanced preference page.
You can use this page to specify a default import directory.
