iSeries, eServer i5, or System i5 Setup

PC/3270 can connect to a host computer through one or more iSeries™, eServer™ i5, or System i5™ systems by using the passthrough function (usable with OS/400® Version 2.2.0 or later, or with i5/OS™).

To use this function, set the following communication configuration descriptions in the iSeries™, eServer™ i5, or System i5™ system to on (Vary On):
  • Line description
  • Controller description
  • Printer description
