Data Transfer

For data transfer, when transferring SQL data between the workstation and the iSeries™, eServer™ i5, or System i5™ system, you can select one of two workstation code pages.

To transfer data, do the following:
  1. Click Preferences>Transfer from the Edit menu.
  2. Select the Translation Tables tab.
  3. Select User Defined for the current table.
  4. Select the Host Codepage as 420 Arabic Speaking.
  5. Select the PC Codepage as 864 or 1256.

    For code page 1256, you must set the parameter for the orientation of the host file. Set the parameter as described for file transfer.
