setTrailerLines()

Use the textReport.setTrailerLines() function to specify the number of lines that the report engine reserves for the trailer (footer) on any page. This number does not include the number of lines that are reserved for the bottom margin (set when you create a new text report variable). The footer that you provide must have the number of lines that you specify here, or EGL will not print the correct total number of lines on the page.

Syntax

  textReport.setTrailerLines(
     numLines INT in)

textReport: The name of a variable that is based on the TextReport external type.
numLines: The total number of lines that the report engine reserves for the trailer on any page of the report.

Example

The following example reserves a single line for the page footer:
