Changing data
When editing a data set, you can change the data:
- In individual records by overtyping the data within the record or by entering a prefix command in the prefix area next to each row. This method is useful when you need to make ad hoc changes to specific records.
- In multiple records by entering primary commands on the Command line. This method is useful when
you need to apply global changes or changes to groups of records that have a common denominator.
The effects of these changes can be limited by using command parameters or by applying limiting methods (see Limiting the effect of editing changes).
