  You can customize FM/CICS for national languages other than English.
  - Changing the print and display translation tables for languages other than English
    If you plan to use FM/CICS with a national language other than English, you might need to provide a print and display translation table for your language.

  After you have completed the initial installation and customization of FM/CICS, you can perform the following steps to verify your customization. You might need to refer to the File Manager for z/OS User’s Guide and Reference for CICS.

Setting the LANGUAGE option

FM/CICS uses the LANGUAGE option set in the FM/CICS options module, FMN3POPT. This setting is used for all FM/CICS messages and panels.

Therefore, if you are using a language other than English, you will need to set the LANGUAGE option in FMN3POPT to one of the values shown in Keyword values for the LANGUAGE option. For example, to use French messages, specify LANGUAGE=FRENCH.

You will need to do this if you are using Japanese or Korean, even if you have installed the File Manager and FM/CICS Japanese or Korean components.
