Configuring security for the Report Launcher and reports

Rational® ClearQuest® provides default security roles and configuration to restrict access to the Report Launcher for ClearQuest®Rational® ClearQuest® and access to individual directories and reports using WebSphere® Application Server J2EE security. This configuration can be customized for your environment by updating the deployment descriptor and mapping users and groups to security roles.

Report Launcher for Rational® ClearQuest® client provides these default security roles and access rules.

Basic User

Provides basic access to the Report Launcher for Rational® ClearQuest®. Add all users who require access to the Report Launcher to this security role. To restrict the access a user has to server paths where reports are stored, add the user to a security role that defines server path access such as the default TeamMember and SuperUser roles.

Team Member

Restricts access to the paths:

/reports/home/team
/reports/team

Super User

Restricts access to the paths:

/reports/admin
/reports/home/admin
/reports/dev
/reports/home/dev
