Clearing the browser cache before you use the Rational® ClearQuest® Web client
After a Rational® ClearQuest® server upgrade, notify Rational® ClearQuest® Web client users to clear their browser cache, delete cookies, and temporary internet files.
About this task
After a Rational® ClearQuest® Web server upgrade, Rational® ClearQuest® Web client users might experience problems when they use Rational® ClearQuest® from a browser. These problems can occur because the Rational® ClearQuest® Web client uses cached images or data on the system where the client is installed instead of using current resources from the Rational® ClearQuest® Web Server
Procedure
- Clear your browser cache, and delete cookies and temporary
internet files from the browser:
- Internet Explorer
- From the browser Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- In the General tab and the Browsing history section, click Delete.
- Check Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK.
- Firefox
- From the browser Tools menu, click Clear Recent History.
- In the Clear All History form, check Cookies, Cache,
and Browsing & Download History.
Remove the option selections from any content that you do not want to remove.
- Click Clear Now.
- After the operation completes, log on to the Rational® ClearQuest® Web client.
