Configuring your environment after installing
After installing Rational® ClearQuest®, there are series of tasks to perform to verify that the installation has completed successfully and to configure the installation for your site.
Changing the feature level and metaschema version
Changing the Rational® ClearQuest® feature level and metaschema version can take several hours. The process changes the schema repository and all associated user databases. Typically, new tables are added to all databases, and new columns might be added to existing tables.
Prepare your environment before upgrading
Before upgrading the Rational® ClearQuest® feature level or metaschema version, make sure that the schema is checked in and that the database is unlocked.

Prepare your environment before upgrading

Before upgrading the Rational® ClearQuest® feature level or metaschema version, make sure that the schema is checked in and that the database is unlocked.
