Message-writer routine

IBM Z Workload Scheduler passes the address of an IBM Z Workload Scheduler communication area (the MCA block) to each subtask it attaches. The MCA contains data shared by subtasks and the addresses of common subroutines.

One of these common routines is the message-writer routine. All IBM Z Workload Scheduler subtasks use this routine to issue messages to the operator and to the IBM Z Workload Scheduler message-log file.
