Creating a physical WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository server transport

You can create a physical IBM® Rational® Integration Tester connection to an IBM® WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository server instance.

About this task

Before creating a physical Rational® Integration Tester connection to a WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository server instance, perform the following steps:
  • Ensure that you have the URL of the WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository server instance that you want to use.
  • Ensure that you have a username and password if you will use an HTTPS connection to the WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository server instance.

Procedure

  1. Open the Physical View of the Architecture School perspective of Rational® Integration Tester.
  2. On the toolbar of the Physical View, click IBM > IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository. The WSRR Server window is displayed.
  3. In the Server URL field, enter the URL of the WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository server instance to which you want to connect.
  4. In the Username and Password fields, enter a username and password if required.
Note: If you want to create an HTTPS connection, you must enter a username and password for authentication.
  1. Click Test connection to verify that the connection works.
  2. Click OK to close the Test connection message window.
  3. Click OK to close the WSRR Server window.

Results

The new physical connection is added to your Rational® Integration Tester project.
