Importing test assets from the remote Git repository
You can import the test assets from the remote Git repository to Rational® Functional Tester and run it to test the performance of the application.
Before you begin
You must have completed the following tasks:

Stored test assets of an application under test in the remote Git repository.

Cloned the remote Git repository. For more information refer to the EGit User Guide documentation.
Procedure
- Open Rational® Functional Tester.
- Click , and then click the expand icon .
- Select Projects from Git, and then click Next.

Select the Existing local repository option, and then
click Next.
The list of all cloned remote Git repositories is displayed.
- Select a remote Git repository from the list that has test assets, and then click Next.

Select one of the following options and perform the steps described in the
table based on your requirement:
Options Descriptions Steps Import existing Eclipse projects Select this option to choose projects that you want to import from the remote Git repository to Rational® Functional Tester.Note: If your project folder contains the .project file, only then the wizard displays the project that is available for the selection.Perform the following steps:

Select Import existing Eclipse projects, and then click Next.

Select the checkbox to choose the projects from the list.

Click Finish to import the projects.
The imported project is displayed in the Test Navigator pane.
Import as general project Select this option to choose a project that does not have a .project file in your project folder. When you select this option, a .project file is created within the project folder.
Perform the following steps:

Click Import as general project, and then click Next.

Enter a name for the project in the Project name field.

Click Finish.
