The Personal Communications documentation is available on the installation image. You can copy any of these PDF or HTML files to your workstation, for viewing at your convenience.

- To view the Personal Communications documentation using
Install Manager, select View Documentation from the main
panel of the Install Manager on the installation image. Clicking View
Documentation invokes Adobe Acrobat Reader from your system to
view the books. If Acrobat Reader is not detected on your system,
you are given the opportunity to install it at this time. After installation
of Acrobat Reader is complete, a window opens displaying the books
available on the installation image.
Note:You can also copy the book files from the installation image to a local or network drive to view at a later time.
The HTML form of Quick Beginnings is installed automatically.
You can view the PDF forms of Quick Beginnings and the other books directly from the installation image. You may also copy the Adobe Acrobat PDF files to a specific directory on your workstation, for later viewing. All available language versions of the documents are in the following directory:
X:\program files\Ibm\Pcomm\language\doc, whereXis your installation image drive letter andlanguageis your specific language code. Not all books are available in all languages. The English versions of the documents are in the following directory:X:\program files\Ibm\Pcomm\en_us\doc.Refer to Installation Guide for your individual language code and specific information about installation of documents and Adobe Acrobat.

- This book provides necessary programming information for you to use the IBM® Personal Communications Emulator High-Level Language Application Program Interface (EHLLAPI), Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), Personal Communications API (PCSAPI), and Server-Requester Programming Interface (SRPI).
