Win32 Cut, Copy, and Paste Hotkeys

Personal Communications includes two .KMP keyboard map files that map the standard Win32 hotkeys for Cut, Copy, and Paste to Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, respectively. You can use these keyboard map files or add the key values to an existing map file.

For 5250 sessions, the .KMP file provided is pcswinkb5.kmp. The remapping is given in Win32 Keyboard Map Functions for a 5250 Layout.

The keys PF7 and PF8 remains mapped to Roll Up and Roll Down, respectively.

The shortcut keys given below are supported only in 3270 and 5250 sessions, and not in VT sessions.
Note:
If a key mapping already exists in the Remap Keyboard settings and it matches one of these shortcut keys, the Remap Keyboard mapping will take precedence.

Copy data from green screen and paste it into Notepad, and vise versa. Verify pasted content.

Paste Ctrl + V

Paste copied data from green screen to Notepad, and vise versa. Verify accurate placement.

Cut Ctrl + X

From unprotected field: cut & paste to Notepad – verify content is removed. From protected field: cut & paste to Notepad – content should remain in green screen.

Find Ctrl + F

Opens the Find window in session.

Keyboard Setup Ctrl + K

Opens Remap Keyboard window.

File Save Ctrl + S

Saves the current session profile to AppData folder.

File Save As Ctrl + Shift + S

Opens Save Workstation Profile As dialog.

New File (Profile) Ctrl + N Opens New Profile dialog.
Print Screen Ctrl + P Prints the current Displaying Screen.
Printer Setup Window Ctrl + Shift + P Opens the Printer Setup window
File Open Ctrl + O

Opens Open Workstation Profile dialog.

Select All Ctrl+A Selects all the data.
