Changing platforms when upgrading Host On-Demand

Upgrading Host On-Demand to another platform is straightforward. Install Host On-Demand on new server, then copy the ../hostondemand/private directory and HTML pages over to the new server. The exception to this is changing to a server running z/OS, pages created with the Deployment Wizard should be deployed with the following steps:

  1. Create an output .zip file of your custom HTML pages.
  2. FTP in binary the zip file to the z/OS server to the publish directory, default path is /usr/lpp/HOD/hostondemand/HOD
  3. Use the DWunzip-S390 shell script to unzip the file. This utility will put the files in the correct location with the correct names and permissions. The shell script can be found in /usr/lpp/HOD/hostondemand/lib/samples/DWunzipCommandFiles
