Resource security

All files, temporary storage queues, and transient data queues can be protected through CICS® resource security. Appropriate authority must be assigned to the user ID for a user to process (edit and view) resources through FM/CICS.

Note the following exception to CICS® resource security for extrapartition transient data queues. When browsing an extrapartition transient data queue through FM/CICS, the batch FM address space will read the records directly from the data set the queue is defined to. Therefore, the z/OS® user ID supplied to FM/CICS must have a minimum of READ authority to the appropriate RACF® data set profile.
