Static PSBs

Advantages of using a static PSB

It is easier to exclude segments from processing.
Processing options (PROCOPTs) can be used to limit the update capability of the user.
They are easily secured.
The PSB is available for use if Batch Backout is required.

Disadvantages of using a static PSB

A database administrator must generate the PSB.
