Creating a new index directory data set
Create a new index directory data set and allocate the index directory file.
The Index list panel is displayed the first time the XFind command is invoked or subsequently by
specifying the I
parameter with the XFind command:
XF I
To create a new index directory data set, complete the following steps:
- Enter a new index directory data set name and press Enter. In the following example, the
new index directory data set name is
FMN.XFIND.INDEX.DIR

- Allocate the index directory file.

- Press Enter. The new data set is allocated.
