Customizing to use DFSORT to improve File Manager performance

You can optionally enable FM/CICS to use the DFSORT COPY function to improve the performance of the data set copy and print functions through the FM/CICS interface.

See the instructions in Customizing to use DFSORT to improve File Manager performance, substituting all references to the TSO logon procedure with the FM/CICS batch procedure, FMN3CICB.

For example, you can enable FM/CICS to use DFSORT by adding the SICELINK and SORTLPA libraries, in that order, to the STEPLIB DD statement in FMN3CICB.

This step must be completed if you plan to use DFSORT when running the FM/CICS interface, or through the File Manager base function interface running under FM/CICS.
