This version of the documentation contains minor clarifications and corrections, as well as the following significant changes relative to the previous edition:

  • The low-level qualifier of the default recovery fault recording IEATDUMP data set name pattern has changed from '&JOBNAME.' to 'S&SEQ.'. For details, see Managing recovery fault recording data set access.
  • Fault Analyzer now provides a CICS web services transaction. See CICS web services transaction.
  • Fault Analyzer XDUMPs have been enabled by default. For details, see Extended minidump data set (XDUMP).
  • Support for spilling pages to the XDUMP data set when MaxMinidumpPages is exceeded has been added. For details, see Verifying the use of XDUMPs
  • A new column Spilled has been added to the Fault Entry List display. For details, see Available columns.
  • A general method for testing XDUMP configuration has been provided in Verifying the use of XDUMPs.
  • IDIUTIL IMPORT and EXPORT now support the use of sequential data sets. For details, see IMPORT control statement, and EXPORT control statement.
  • Information about Fault Analyzer Java SVC DUMP titles has been added in "Fault Analyzer Java SVC dump titles" on page 45.
  • Previously deprecated options have been removed:

    • HistCols. Use the HistCols suboption of the FAISPFopts option instead, see HistCols.
    • InteractiveExitPromptSeconds. Use the InteractiveExitPromptSeconds suboption of the FAISPFopts option instead, see InteractiveExitPromptSeconds.
    • RDZClient. No replacement.
    • UseIDISTime. No replacement.

    These options should be removed from the IDICNFxx options member to prevent IDI0020W messages from being issued.
