Rational® ClearQuest® Web is a browser-based interface to Rational ClearQuest that runs on Windows, the UNIX system, and Linux. You can track defects and change requests in Rational ClearQuest Web through this interface. When a session times out, you can re-authenticate and continue where you left off because the state of the user interface is retained.
You can use the List View or Tabbed View to view a record.

A Rational® ClearQuest® database contains different types of records, as defined in the Designer. You can use different types of records for different projects and purposes. Each record type has unique fields and data requirements.
Change requests move through a life cycle from submission through resolution. Each stage in this life cycle is called a state, and each movement from one state to another is called a state transition.
A record type is the layout or format for a particular type of change request. It defines the actions, fields, forms, behaviors, and possibly the state information associated with a record. Each record type is associated with its own state model, forms, and hooks, which control the collection and viewing of data for that type of change request.
Rational® ClearQuest® offers several methods to find and view records in your user database.
You can edit an existing record if at least one modify action is defined in the schema.
You can use the List View, Tabbed View and Customize List View functionality to customize how you view records.
The feature allows multiple forms to be used when working with a record.
Provides the capability to control the visibility of forms, tabs, and fields, and change focus to a specific form and tab when working with a record.
You can create and submit records for all the record types defined in the schema from the Rational® ClearQuest® Web interface.
You can perform the same actions on multiple Rational® ClearQuest® records in a query result set by using the multirecord update feature. For example, you can perform the Assign action to assign many defect records to the same person for the same iteration. You can use multirecord update to set the priority of multiple records to a single value.
If at least one delete action is defined in your schema for a specific record type, you can delete a record of that record type.
If two records are similar, you can place one in a Duplicate state. A record can be a duplicate of only one record, but it can have more than one duplicate. For example, Record A can be a duplicate of Record B, and Record C can be a duplicate of Record B.
You can revert a duplicate record to the state it was in before it was marked as a duplicate. Reverted records can be modified.
You can print records for hardcopy versions.
You can provide direct access to a database record by sending the URL by e-mail.
Rational® ClearQuest® Web keeps a history of recently run records, queries, and data-push charts during your current user session so that you can run them again.
You can create a bookmark in your browser for a record, query, or data-push chart that you work with frequently.
You can create a Rational® ClearQuest® Favorite for a record, query, or traditional data-push chart that you work with frequently.
You can track the progress of development work associated with a record by viewing the UCM change set versions. You can also save the UCM change set versions to a text file.
Rational® ClearQuest® Web keeps a history of the most recently accessed records only for your current user session so that you can easily view them again.
You can use Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) integrations with products based on Jazz technology, including IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM Rational Quality Manager, and IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation, to connect the work of all team members. Collaborative Lifecycle Management integrations with Rational® ClearQuest® Web are also referred to as the Rational ClearQuest Bridge.
Using the Rational® ClearQuest® Web client, you can create Representational State Transfer (REST) Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) to log on to your user database and perform common tasks. REST URIs provide a uniform interface to Web resources, letting you access data by using any HTTP client.
When you use the integration with DevOps Code ClearCase® Unified Change Management (UCM), Rational® ClearQuest® records enabled for UCM provide current information about associated UCM activity.
Use the Rational® ClearQuest® Client to submit, modify, and track change requests and to analyze project progress.
Welcome to the Rational® ClearQuest® for Windows® client; the Microsoft™ Windows interface to Rational ClearQuest. You can use Rational ClearQuest to perform daily activities after the schema developer and administrator define and set up the schema, schema repository, and user database.
The application lifecycle management (ALM) packages and ALM schema provide out-of-the-box solutions for ensuring ALM best practices in your new or existing Rational® ClearQuest® change management system.
You can integrate Rational® ClearQuest® with other software by adding packages to existing schema.
