To check out using the Open window (Windows)

About this task

The Open window that many applications use is actually part of DevOps ClearCase® Explorer. Right-clicking a loaded version of a DevOps Code ClearCase® element in the Open window displays a DevOps Code ClearCase® shortcut menu.

To check out a file from an Open window:

Procedure

  1. In an application (for example, Microsoft Notepad), click File > Open.
  2. In the Open window, select the file or directory that is under source control.
  3. Right-click the file and click ClearCase > Check Out.
