Restoring the JCL Repository (JS) data set

The JS data set consists of two data sets, one that is active and one that is inactive. If there is an error on the active data set, you can copy the inactive data set to the active data set to recover. Perform the following procedure:

1. If IBM Z Workload Scheduler is active, stop it.
2. Allocate a new data set.
3. Copy the inactive data set to the new JS data set.
4. If you allocated the data set with a new name, update all JCL (EQQJSnDS) to reference the new data set.
5. Review the IBM Z Workload Scheduler message log to determine when the damaged JS data set was first used.
6. Start IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
7. Redo all IBM Z Workload Scheduler JCL editing that has been done since the damaged JS data set was first used and that applies to operations that have not yet started.
