Processor

Normally, the amount of processor power is not the most significant factor in IBM® Z Workload Scheduler performance.

Of course, no matter what the power of the processor, if most of the processor is normally busy, then the processor can be the most critical resource for any application. In such a case, you can help IBM® Z Workload Scheduler get access to the processor resource by giving it higher dispatching priority. This might not be a serious impact on lower priority users, because in most cases, IBM® Z Workload Scheduler needs the processor frequently, but does not need it very much. The IBM® Z Workload Scheduler subsystems should have a priority just below that of the JES subsystem.
