      When you install Rational® Integration Tester, the following directories are created and populated under the installation directory.
    - User file storage
      Rational® Integration Tester projects store user files, and can be created in any location to which a user has access. However, using a remote or network location can reduce Rational Integration Tester performance significantly, so it is recommended that Rational Integration Tester is installed on a local drive.
    - Changing the display language
      When you want to use the product in a different language other than the display language of your computer, then you can change the language of the product by using the command-line interface. You can find the information to change the language in Linux or Windows.

    - Configuring the project results database
      Historical test data and performance results from agents and probes are stored in the Rational® Integration Tester project results database. It is difficult to estimate the space that is required as the number and type of tests to be run varies. For example, lengthy performance tests can generate large amounts of data. When you create the project results database, 50GB is probably a good starting point.

      If one of the programs fails to start as a Windows™ service, it can be difficult to determine the cause. Typically the service fails to start but gives no indication of why. The Windows Event log has nothing useful and the process might not have created its log file.

      You can publish test reports for tests run on Rational® Integration Tester to Rational Test Automation Server. You can create secrets collections for your project and store them securely on Rational Test Automation Server that you can retrieve the secrets from Rational Test Automation Server during tests at runtime.

    is a server-based web application providing a central repository for virtualized services. The Rational® Test Control Panel allows you to use virtual services published with Rational Integration Tester to create, share, and deploy virtualized test environments in IBM® Rational Test Virtualization Server.

Changing the display language of the product installed on Windows

When you want to use the product in a different language other than the display language of your computer, then you can change the language of the product by using the command-line interface in Windows.

Before you begin

You must have completed the following tasks:

Modified the product that is installed in your preferred language by using IBM Installation Manager to install the other translated product packages.

About this task

If for any reason, you want to use the product that you have installed in your preferred language to be displayed in any other supported language, you can run an eclipse command to change the display language of the product.

After you run the eclipse command, you must close the product if it is running and relaunch the product for it to display in the changed language.

Note: After you changed the language and for any reason closed the application, the product reverts to display in the default language that is set in your computer when you relaunch the product.

Procedure

Right-click the Command Prompt application and select Run as Administrator.
Run the following command to change the directory to the location where you installed the product:

cd <directory path>

Run the following command to change the language of the product:

eclipse.exe -nl <language_code>

Where <language_code> is the language code of the language that you want to use.

You must provide the <language_code> for the language that is listed in the following table:

For example, if you installed the product in English and you want to view the product display in French, you must run the following command:

eclipse.exe -nl fr

The product UI is displayed in French.

Results

You have changed the display language of the product until you restart the product.
