      - Testing Java™ Message Service (JMS) systems
        Use the generic JMS plug-in to connect Rational® Integration Tester to a wide range of EAI platforms, which includes any vendor that provides an implementation of this Java™ standard. JMS provides a way of separating the application from the transport layer of providing data. The same Java classes can be used to communicate with different JMS providers by using the JNDI information for a specific provider. The classes first use a connection factory to connect to the queue or topic, and then use populate and send or publish the messages. On the receiving side, the clients then receive or subscribe to the messages

        You can import Plain Old Java™ Objects (POJOs) from JAR files into Rational® Integration Tester in order to parse and construct messages containing the serialized forms of those objects. You can construct and parse the Java objects and perform validation, but you cannot test the objects directly.

        Configuring a queue manager to use the API exit
        To configure a queue manager to use the API exit, you can either use MQ Explorer (for Microsoft™ Windows™ and Linux™ systems) or modify the qm.ini file for the queue manager (for Microsoft Windows and Linux systems ).
        Configuring a queue manager to support sift-and-pass-through stubbing
        A diverted queue rules namelist is required by Rational® Integration Tester to support sift-and-pass-through stubbing on an IBM® WebSphere® MQ transport. The sift-and-pass-through capability enables Rational Integration Tester to see a message in a queue before the "real" service sees it and determine whether to process it.
        Security settings for MQ agent resources
        If you have enabled security for the queue manager, you must configure certain security settings in the queue manager for the Rational® Integration Tester MQ agent resources to access the Rational Integration Tester intercept queue.
        Additional configuration steps if the Rational® Integration Tester user cannot be given queue create permission
        As of version 9.2.0, Rational® Integration Tester uses queues that are named COM.GREENHAT.INTERCEPT_LCK, COM.GREENHAT.INTERCEPT.<QMGR>_LCK, RIT.DIVERT.RULES_LCK, and RIT.DIVERT.RULES.<QMGR>_LCK. Which of these queues is required depends on your environment. Rational Integration Tester attempts to create these queues automatically when they are first accessed. If you do not allow Rational Integration Tester to create queues, then you must predefine these queues.

Deploying Rational® Integration Tester API agents

To enable sift and pass-through, transport-level recording and queue recording with the mirror or dynamic mirror queue options, you must deploy the API agents that are supplied with Rational® Test Control Panel into the WebSphere® MQ Queue Manager.

Download the IBM® WebSphere® MQ API agent for WebSphere® MQ from Rational® Test Control Panel and install it on the server that is hosting the queue manager. You must deploy the intercept agent modules to the exits directory on the server that is hosting the queue manager.

The sample scripts containing the distributed WebSphere® MQ API agent .zip file, can be downloaded from Rational® Test Control Panel.

The files must be copied to the correct location. Otherwise, IBM® WebSphere® MQ displays error messages and the API agent might not work correctly.

Note: This installation process requires administrative access to the queue manager and to the server where the queue manager is running.

To deploy IBM® WebSphere® MQ API agent:

Install the relevant API agent file on the server that is hosting the queue manager that is to be configured.
Configure the relevant queue manager to use the API agent.

The process depends on the operating system and architecture of the computer where WebSphere® MQ is installed.
