Creating a webMethods Information Server cluster
If your webMethods Information Server deployment is installed as a cluster, then specific configuration steps apply to model each of the physical instances.
Procedure
-
In
Rational® Integration
Tester Architecture School, Logical view,
click and complete the
fields in the wizard.
For more information, see Adding a webMethods Integration Server Domain.
-
In the Physical view, create a resource for each individual
Information Server.
For more information, see Creating a physical webMethods Integration Server resource.
-
In the Physical view, create a cluster resource and configure
it to be type webMethods IS Cluster. Add each
of the individual server resources to the cluster.
For more information, see Adding a cluster to the Physical view.
-
In the Logical view, bind the logical resource to the cluster
resource.
For more information, see Changing component bindings.
Results
The cluster behaves like any other webMethods Information
Server, with the following clarifications:
- Tests are run against only one of the cluster members. The tester cannot specify which member is used.
- Recordings are created for all members of the cluster.
- Stub execution applies to all members of the cluster and processes service invocations regardless of where they are initiated.
- When recording or stubbing, the captured message header includes the server name that the event originated from.
