Preparing to record and virtualize Db2® activity in COBOL and PL/I on z/OS®

Before you can record and virtualize Db2® activity in COBOL and PL/I applications on z/OS® systems, you must start the agent and direct HCL OneTest API where to find your Db2® Connect license file.

Before you begin

Install and configure both components of the agent. For more information, see Installing and configuring the agent for z/OS.

About this task

Follow these steps to start the agent and direct HCL OneTest API to find your Db2® Connect license file.

Procedure

  1. Start the agent from a command prompt by using the following command:
    zosAgent
  2. Direct HCL OneTest API where to find your Db2® Connect license file.
    1. Open the Library Manager and select Database (JDBC).
    2. Select IBM Db2® Connect (for connecting to Db2® on z/OS).
    3. In the Settings pane, select Add to identify the path to the resource db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar
