Configuring WebSphere® MQ transports

After you create a WebSphere® MQ transport, you must configure it to record, send, and receive WebSphere® MQ messages within HCL OneTest API.

Before you begin

Before recording, publishing to queues, and subscribing from queues, you must have started WebSphere® MQ and the relevant queue manager and defined the wanted channels. You must also have access to the SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE to use HCL OneTest API with WebSphere® MQ. For more information about security settings, see the related links.

About this task

To configure a transport, do the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Double-click the appropriate WebSphere® MQ queue manager resource in the Architecture School Physical View.

The dialog box for WebSphere® MQ Queue Manager is displayed.

Note: The Stubbing tab is only available in HCL OneTest API V8.0.1 or later. For information about this tab, refer to the related links.
  2. Enter a name for the transport in the Name field to help identify it when multiple WebSphere® MQ queue manager transports are available.

The settings for the transport are separated into five tabs: Settings, SSL, Recording, Options, and Advanced.

Note: All of the configuration fields except the Password field support the use of tags. You can enter tags manually or from the menu. The Password field is encrypted .
  3. To test the transport settings at any time, click Test Transport. If the test is unsuccessful, verify the values in use.
