Product description

You can find the description of IBM® Rational® Test Automation Server.

Rational® Test Automation Server is a server that includes capabilities such as project and role-based security, Docker-based distribution and installation, and running of test cases. For more information about the server, see IBM Rational Test Automation Server overview.

What's new in 10.2.1.1

This release addresses the issue of the security vulnerability in CVE-2021-44228 that is specific to Apache Log4j 2 / Log4Shell.

This release replaces IBM® Rational® Test Automation Server 10.2.1 and includes all updates made in the 10.2.1 release.

For customers that need to execute IBM® Rational® Performance Tester tests that use Rational® Performance Tester's Apache JMeter Test Extension from the server, upgrading to Rational® Test Automation Server 10.2.1.1 release from the entitlement registry is recommended. Although the log4j libraries installed with the Apache JMeter Test Extension are never loaded by Rational® Performance Tester, the presence of log4j-core-2.11 may concern customers.

For more information about remediation instructions, refer to Security Bulletin: Rational Test Automation Server.

If you installed Rational® Test Automation Server 10.2.1, you must first uninstall it, and then install Rational® Test Automation Server 10.2.1.1. For installation instructions, see Installation of the server software.
