Adding a schema

You can add a single schema or a directory of schemas. You can specify the type of schema to add or let Rational® Integration Tester attempt to determine the type.

Before you begin

Open the Rational® Integration Tester Architecture School perspective (F7) and select the Schema Library view.

Adding a schema of a specific type

Procedure

  1. On the toolbar at the top of the view, click the arrow next to the Add push button.
  2. Select a schema category from the displayed list.
    Five schema categories are displayed.
Only a subset of categories and schema types is available when you add a schema.
  3. Select a schema type from one of the categories.
The information that is required to add the schema depends on the schema type. For more information, see the following instructions:

Adding a schema or directory without specifying a type

Procedure

  1. On the toolbar at the top of the view, click Add.
  2. In the displayed browser, select a file, or a directory that contains multiple source files, for the schema to add.
The project directory for the Calculator Project is shown.

Results

Rational® Integration Tester examines the extension and the contents of the specified files. If it can determine the schema type, it adds the schema in the appropriate type and displays that page of the library. If it cannot, the schema is not added.
