Publishing specific results to the server

If you have a single test result or multiple test results that are not yet published to IBM® Rational® Test Automation Server, you can publish all of them simultaneously.

Before you begin

  • Accessed Rational® Test Automation Server.

  • Created an offline user token to connect to Rational® Test Automation Server from Rational® Performance Tester. For more information, refer to Managing access to server.

  • Created or joined a project in Rational® Test Automation Server.

  • Configured the firewall so that Rational® Test Automation Server enables connection on the port 443.

  • Upgraded legacy reports to the Web Analytics report format.
    Note: You can right-click the report and select Upgrade to upgrade the legacy report to the Web Analytics report.

About this task

Currently, only statistical reports can be published.

Procedure

  1. Select the test results by using one of the following ways:
    • From the Test Navigator view, right-click on all the test results that you want to publish and select Publish Results. You can select the results from across the projects.
    • Click File > Export > Test > Execution Result to Rational® Test Automation Server and select the test results to publish, and then click Next.
  2. If you had added the publish parameters in Preferences (Test > Rational® Test Automation Server), they are reflected in the Publish Result dialog box. Else, click New Server and specify the server URL. The format of the URL is https://fully-qualified-domain-name:443.
  3. Specify the offline user token that you created on the server. To create a token on Rational® Test Automation Server, see Generating an offline token.
  4. To put the test results in an appropriate project, select a project in Project Name.
  5. In the Execution Results table, select the test results that you want to publish. The results that are already published are highlighted in bold text. The dialog box also displays the message about the number of results that are already published. You can choose to overwrite those results.
  6. To add labels to the results, in the Labels column, click a row against the result and type the name of the label. To apply a common label to the selected results, click Add Common Labels and type the name of the label.
  7. In Reports select the reports that you want to publish to the server.
  8. Click Finish.

What to do next

To view the published results, log in to the server by accessing https://fully-qualified-domain-name:443, selecting the project, and then clicking Results.
