Configuring ASCII Text Transfer
To configure this feature, click Edit →
Preferences → Text Transfer. You can modify the following
options.
- Receive
- Convert received characters
You can convert LF (Line Feed), CR (Carriage Return), or CR/LF characters to the specified type. For all types, the default is No conversion.
- Data bits
Default is 8.
- Strip escape sequence
Default is unchecked (escape sequence is not stripped from received file).
- Append to end of file
Default is unchecked (transfer does not append to end of existing file).
- File name (for the received file)
- Prompt for new file
Click OK to save the settings or click Cancel to exit without saving any changes.

- Convert characters to send
You can convert LF (Line Feed), CR (Carriage Return), or CR/LF characters to the specified type. For all types, the default is No conversion.

Set to 7 or 8. Default is 8.
- Character pacing delay
Specify value (in milliseconds). Default is 0.
- Line pacing delay
Specify value (in milliseconds). Default is 0.
- Pace character
Specify hexadecimal value of pace character. Default is no character (no hex value).
- File name (for the file to be sent)
- Prompt for new file
- Convert characters to send
