iSeries, eServer i5, or System i5 Device Description for Twinaxial Attachments (APPC) Example

If you want to use a twinaxial (TDLC) attachment, the iSeries™, eServer™ i5, or System i5™ requires that you specify a device description. When the automatic device configuration indicator (QAUTOCFG) is set to ON in the iSeries™, eServer™ i5, or System i5™, the device description is created automatically. When the indicator is set to OFF, create the device description, as follows:

Enter the following command on the command line of the iSeries™, eServer™ i5, or System i5™ main menu:

  CRTDEVDSP

The Creating Device Description (Display) panel appears.
