Disable Auto Start Macro by Group Policy

Administrators can now use system Group Policy to restrict users from executing auto-start macros in IBM Personal Communications.

This policy is available in the Group Policy Editor at the following location:

User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Classic Administrative Templates -> IBM Personal Communications -> Execution -> "Auto Start Macro"

By default, this setting is set to "Not Configured".

If a user who is restricted by this policy attempts to launch a session configured with an auto-start macro, IBM Personal Communications blocks the macro execution and displays a system restriction warning message.

Group Policy Setting Application Behavior
Not Configured / Enabled Users are free to configure and run auto-start macros (Default).
