Uninstalling Installation Manager
Follow these steps to remove IBM® Installation Manager from your workstation.
Before you begin
You must uninstall all of the packages and products that were installed with Installation Manager, and close Installation Manager.
You must be logged on to your workstation with a user account that has the same privileges as the account that was used to install Installation Manager.
About this task
Note:
After you uninstall Installation Manager on Solaris,
if an error occurs, close the window with the error message and manually
delete the following empty directories: /var/ibm/InstallationManager/uninstall and /var/ibm/InstallationManager.
Procedure
To uninstall Installation Manager:
- From the Start menu, click .
- On the Change or Remove Programs page, select IBM Installation Manager, and click Remove.
- In the Add or Remove Programs window, click Yes to continue with the removal.
To uninstall Installation Manager from Linux™ or UNIX™, click the Uninstall IBM Installation
Manager icon on your desktop. If this icon is not displayed,
complete the following steps:
- Open a terminal window, change the directory to your installation directory (/opt/IBM/InstallationManager/ by default), and type /opt/IBM/InstallationManager/_uninst/uninstaller.bin.
- In the Installation Manager Uninstall Packages wizard, click Next, and then click Uninstall.
- When the uninstallation process is completed, you are prompted to log out of your system.
