Importing a UML model

Complete the following steps to import a UML model:
  1. Open a project that the imported model is to apply. Click File → Import to start the import wizard.
  2. In the Select window, expand General, then click File system → Next.
  3. From the File system window, type the name of the directory containing the model to imported in the From directory field or click Browse to locate the directory.

    Select the one or more files to import from the displayed list.

  4. The location where the model is to be placed in the Into folder field is populated with the project name. You can specify another location by typing the location in the field. The file can be imported into the project root directory.
  5. If you are importing a model with the same name and you want to overwrite the existing model, you can select the Overwrite existing resources without warning to not receive any warning messages.
  6. Select the file structure for the imported file.
    Create complete folder structure
    Creates the entire current folder structure of the file.
    Create selected folders only
    Creates only the selected folder structure of the file.
  7. Click Finish to complete the import.
