Enterprise Generation Language (EGL) is a programming language that you can use to focus on business problems instead of software technologies. Within the Rational® development environment, you can use EGL wizards and other tools to write complex applications with minimal effort.

Overview of EGL Rich UI
Developing with the EGL Dojo widgets
The EGL Dojo widget library represents a set of commonly used widgets that extend the Rich UI widget library. These widgets are available on the palette in the EGL Rich UI editor and can be used with the EGL widgets or your own custom widgets.
Preparing to use the EGL Dojo widgets
You can develop with the EGL Dojo widgets by using either a local or remote version of the Dojo Toolkit. In either case, you must specify the Dojo Toolkit provider on your EGL build path.

Accessing a remote Dojo Toolkit

To access a remote version of the Dojo Toolkit rather than a local one, do as follows:

Import the provider project, as listed in "Importing project-supplied projects."
Give your own development project access to the provider project:
1. Right-click the development project.
2. Click Properties > EGL Build Path. The Projects tab is displayed.
3. Select the provider project to use.
4. Click OK.
