Setting preferences for service generation

You can specify how your services are generated.

From the menu bar, click Window > Preferences. The Preferences window opens.
Expand EGL and click Service.
Select the preferences for generating web services:
- Under WSDL Document Style/Encoding preference, select Document-Literal Wrapped unless the requesters require RPC-Literal.
- Under WSDL Generation, enter the default host name and port. Those values are placed in generated WSDL files.
  If you are using WebSphere® Application Server and had installed it previously on the same machine, you might need to change the port number to reflect the port that is used by the current installation.
- If you were using web services in version 6 of Rational® Business Developer and have migrated to version 7 or higher, select Use EGL V6 array naming style.
- Under Default SOAP runtime environment, specify how you want to preset the deployment descriptor in new projects. If you want to use the older JAX-RPC specification for deploying SOAP services and service requesters, select JAXRPC. If you want to use the newer JAX-WS specification, select JAXWS. For details on the choice, see EGL support for JAX-WS and JAX-RPC.
You can restore the default settings by clicking Restore Defaults.
Click OK to save your changes.
