EGL Java™ messages

The following runtime messages are for the Java™ / COBOL component and use EGL as a prefix.

EGL0001E An error occurred in the program_name program.
EGL0002E An error occurred in the program_name program while processing the function_name function.
EGL0003E The error occurred in the program_name program processing the function_name function at line line_number.
EGL0004E The properties_file_name properties file could not be loaded.
EGL0005E The library_name library cannot be loaded. The following error occurred: error_text.
EGL0006E An error occurred while creating an object of the object_type type. The following error occurred: error_text.
EGL0007E An error occurred while either creating the InitialContext or looking up the java:comp/env environment. The following error occurred: error_text.
EGL0008E The following exception error and message occurred. Error: error_text. Message: message_text.
EGL0009E A value for the property_name property is required.
EGL0010E An external dependency is missing. The following error occurred: error_text.
EGL0048E The operand1_name and operand2_name operands cannot be compared.
EGL0049E An overflow error occurred when assigning a value of value to target.
EGL0050E An overflow error occurred when calculating the following expression: expression.
EGL0051E The operator_name operator is not supported for the operand1_name and operand2_name operands.
EGL0052E The operator_name operator is not supported for the operand_name operand of the operand_type type.
EGL0053E The subscript operator is not supported for the operand_name operand of the operand_type type.
EGL0054E The substring operator is not supported for the operator_name operand of the operand_type type.
EGL0055E The SET EMPTY statement is not supported for the operator_name operand of the operand_type type.
EGL0056E An error occurred in the regular_expression regular expression. Error: error_text.
EGL0057E When using CICSSSL protocol, both ctgKeyStore and ctgKeyStorePassword must be specified.
EGL0058E The value value for the ctgport entry is not correct.
EGL0059E An error occurred when connecting to the CICS Transaction Gateway(CTG). The CTG location is ctg_location. The CTG Port is ctg_port. The following error occurred:error_code.
EGL0060E An error occurred when disconnecting from the CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG). The CTG port location is ctg_location. The CTG port is ctg_port. The following error occurred: error_code.
EGL0061E An error occurred while calling the program_name program that uses the CICS External Call Interface (ECI). The return code is -3 (ECI_ERR_NO_CICS). The CICS system identifier is cics_identifier.
EGL0062E An error occurred while calling the program_name program using the CICS External Call Interface (ECI). The return code is -4 (ECI_ERR_CICS_DIED). The CICS system identifier is cics_identifier.
EGL0063E An error occurred while calling the progam_name program using the CICS ECI. The return code is -6 (ECI_ERR_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT). The CICS system identifier is cics_identifier.
EGL0064E An error occurred while calling the program_name program using the CICS ECI. The return code is -7 (ECI_ERR_TRANSACTION_ABEND. The CICS system identifier cics_identifier. The abend code is abend_code.
EGL0065E: An error occurred while calling the program_name program that uses the CICS ECI. The return code is -22 (ECI_ERR_UNKNOWN_SERVER). The CICS system identifier is cics_identifier.
EGL0066E An error occurred while calling the program_name program using the CICS ECI. The return code is -27 (ECI_ERR_SECURITY_ERROR). The CICS system identifier is cics_identifier.
EGL0067E An error occurred while calling the program_name program that uses the CICS ECI. The return code is -28 (ECI_ERR_MAX_SYSTEMS). The CICS system identifier is cics_identifier.
EGL0068E An error occurred while calling the program_name program on the system_name system for the user named user_name. A return_code return code and abend_code abend code was returned from the CICS ECI call.
EGL0069E An error occurred while calling CICS ECI to commit a unit of work. The CICS return code is return_code.
EGL0070E An error occurred while calling the CICS ECI to rollback a unit of work. The CICS return code is error_code.
EGL0071E An exception occurred on the flow of an ECI Request to system_name CICS system. The exception is exception_value.
EGL0072E A parameter length error occurred. The stream has number_of_parameters parameters and the local function has number_of_parameters parameters.
EGL0075E The maximum size is exceeded for the array_name array.
EGL0076E The called program program_name expected number_expected_parameters parameters but was passed number_passed_parameters.
EGL0077E Error obtaining the address of entry point entry_point within the shared library library_name. The return code is return_code.
EGL0078E An error was encountered while loading the library_name shared library. The return code is return_code_value.
EGL0080E An error occurred in the remote program_name program, date, time, on system system_name.
EGL0081E The host_name hostname is an unknown TCP/IP hostname.
EGL0083E The client has received notification that the server is unable to start the remote called program. Reason code: reason_code.
EGL0085E The linkage_propertiesfile linkage properties file cannot be opened.
EGL0086E An entry for the specified called program program_name cannot be found in the linkproperty_file linkage properties file.
EGL0087E Host host_name is not known or could not be found.
EGL0088E The password or user ID is not correct for connecting to system_name system. Java exception message received: error_data.
EGL0089E AS400Toolbox execution error: toolbox_name, error_code while calling program_name program on the system_name system.
EGL0090E Remote access security error to system_name system for user_name user. Java exception message received: message_text
EGL0091E Commit failed on system system_name. Exception: error_data.
EGL0092E Rollback failed on system_name system. Exception: exception_code
EGL0093E Remote connection error to system_name system. Java exception message received: message_text
EGL0094E EGL OS/400 Host Services error. The required files are not found on the system_name system.
EGL0095E Run unit ended due to an application error on system system_name trying to call the program program_name. Message: message_data
EGL0100E Unhandled error: error_data
EGL0101E The data of data is not in the correct format.
EGL0102E The value data of type orginal_type cannot be converted to type convert_type.
EGL0103E The date format pattern pattern is invalid.
EGL0104E The time format pattern pattern is invalid. is invalid.
EGL0105E The timestamp format pattern pattern is invalid.
EGL0106E A null reference was used.
EGL0108E No field with identifier identifier_name could be found in {1}.
EGL0109E The numeric format pattern {0} is invalid.
EGL0110E Error assigning {0} to {1}. The message is {2}.
EGL0111E Error in SET {0} EMPTY. The message is {1}.
EGL0112E Error {0} when invoking method with signature {1}.
EGL0113E Error running command {0}: {1}.
EGL0114E DateTimeLib.mdy cannot convert values {0}, {1}, and {2} into a month, day, and year.
EGL0115E {0} was passed the nonnumeric string {1}. Every character in the portion of the string defined by the length argument must be numeric.
EGL0117E {0} failed with error message {1}.
EGL0118E The argument to StrLib.intAsChar must be a number between 0 and 255.
EGL0119E {0} is not a valid length for {1}. Its size is {2}.
EGL0120E {0} is not a valid position for {1}. Its size is {2}.
EGL0121E An error occurred while processing a Blob or Clob item. The error message is {0}.
EGL0122E VGLib.startTransaction to class {0} failed. The exception is {1}.
EGL0123E The argument to StrLib.intAsUnicode must be a number between 0 and 65535.
EGL0124E An error occurred during an attempt to communicate with CICS. Exception is {0}
EGL0125E The attempt to execute the remote CICS translation failed.
EGL0140E Size {0} is invalid for array {1}. Maximum size is {2}.
EGL0141E Index {0} is out of bounds for array {1}. Size is {2}.
EGL0142E Invalid substring indices {0}:{1}.
EGL0143E Invalid argument to function for array {0}.
EGL0144E Index {0} is out of bounds.
EGL0145E The conversion_table_nameconversion table is not valid.
EGL0146E The csouidpwd.properties properties file cannot be read. Error code: error_data
EGL0147E The client's buffer was too small for the amount of data being passed on the call. Ensure that the cumulative size of the parameters being passed does not exceed the maximum allowed which is 32567 bytes.
EGL0148E The parmForm linkage property must be set to COMMPTR to call program program_name as there is at least one parameter that is a dynamic array.
EGL0149E An error occurred while passing parameters to called program program_name. Exception: exception_code.
EGL0150E An error occurred on a call to program program_name. Exception: exception_code.
EGL0151E: Unable to get a ConnectionFactory. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0152E Unable to close an Interaction or Connection. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0153E Unable to get a connection. Exception is: exception_code.
EGL0154E Unable to get an Interaction. Exception is: exception_code.
EGL0155E Unable to set an interaction verb. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0156E An error occurred during an attempt to communicate with IMS. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0157E An error occurred during an attempt to communicate with IMS.
EGL0160E Unable to get a LocalTransaction for client unit of work. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0161E: Unable to set the timeout value on a CICSJ2C call. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0162E Cannot contact the EGL debugger at hostname host_name and port port_number. Exception is exception_code
EGL0163E An error occurred while communicating with the EGL debugger at hostname host_name and port port_number. Exception is exception_code.
EGL0164E The linkage specified a DEBUG call within a J2EE server. The call was not made on a J2EE server, the J2EE server is not in debug mode, or the J2EE server was not enabled for EGL debugging.
EGL0165E The linkage specified a DEBUG call to an EGL listener but did not specify the library property.
EGL0166E An error occurred in remote program program_name, on system system_name.
EGL0184E The math_functionname Math function failed with error code 8 (domain error).
EGL0186E The pow Math function failed with error code 8 (domain error).
EGL0187E The sqrt Math function failed with error code 8 (domain error).
EGL0188E: The math_functionname Math function failed with error code 12 (range error).
EGL0200E The function_name String function failed with error code 8.
EGL0201E The function_name String function failed with error code 12.
EGL0202E String function setNullTerminator failed with error code 16.
EGL0203E The function_name String function failed with error code 20.
EGL0204E The function_name String function failed with error code 24.
EGL0500E text: prepared statement statement not found[sqlstate:sql_state][sqlcode:sql_code]
EGL0501E A statement statement used a result set that is closed or does not exist.
EGL0505E An error occurred while connecting to database database: error_text
EGL0507E Error while loading the JDBC driver classes: error_text
EGL0508E GET failed because result set result_set was not opened with scroll.
EGL0509E Cannot connect to the default database. The name of the default database was not specified.
EGL0510E A database connection must be established prior to an SQL I/O operation.
EGL0511E An error occurred while disconnecting database database_name. error_text
EGL0512E Cannot set connection to database database. The connection does not exist.
EGL0700E No input received for required field - enter again.
EGL0702E Data type error in input - enter again.
EGL0703E Number of allowable significant digits exceeded - enter again.
EGL0704E Input not within defined range - enter again.
EGL0705E Input minimum length error - enter again.
EGL0706E Table edit validity error - enter again.
EGL0707E Modulus check error on input - enter again.
EGL0708E Input not valid for defined date or time format valid_format.
EGL0710E Input not valid for boolean field.
EGL0711E Edit table table_name is not defined for program_name.
EGL0712E Hexadecimal data is not valid.
EGL0713E Value entered is invalid as it does not match the pattern that is set.
EGL0714E Input maximum length error - enter again.
EGL0716E Input not within defined list - enter again.
EGL0717E Date/Time format specified format is invalid.
EGL0720E Error formatting value for display: format.
EGL0751E The runtime property vgj.ra.fileName.fileType could not be found for file file_name.
EGL0752E The value of the runtime property vgj.ra.fileName.fileType is invalid for file file_name.
EGL0754E The record length item must contain a value that splits non-character data at item boundaries.
EGL0755E The value in the occursItem or lengthItem is too big.
EGL1000E function_name failed. Invoking a method or accessing a field called field_name resulted in an unhandled error. The error message is error_text
EGL1001E function_name failed. identifier is not an identifier, or it is the identifier of a null object.
EGL1002E program_name failed. A public method, field, or class named object_name does not exist or cannot be loaded, or the number or types of parameters are incorrect. The error message is error_text.
EGL1003E function_name failed. The type of a value in EGL does not match the type expected in Java for type. The error message is error_text.
EGL1004E function_name failed. The target is a method that returned null, a method that does not return a value, or a field whose value is null.
EGL1006E function_name failed. The class class_name of a null argument could not be loaded. The error message is error_text.
EGL1007E function_name failed. Could not get information about the method or field named field_name, or an attempt was made to set the value of a field declared final. The error message is error_text.
EGL1008E function_name failed. class_name is an interface or abstract class, so the constructor cannot be called.
EGL1009E function_name failed. The method or field object_name is not static. An identifier must be used instead of a class name.
EGL1148E Action field field_name does not exist.
EGL1149E Cannot insert another row - the input array is full.
EGL1150E Array array_name not found.
EGL1151E Assignment to prompt result variable failed.
EGL1152E Screen Array Field field_name size is incorrect.
EGL1153E DrawBox parameters are out of range.
EGL1154E Display coordinates are outside the window boundaries.
EGL1155E Malformed key name key_name.
EGL1156E You cannot use this editing feature because a picture exists.
EGL1157E Cannot find window window_name.
EGL1158E New window position [position1,position2]/dimension[dimension1,dimension2] values are invalid.
EGL1159E The command stack is out of synch.
EGL1160E The Console UI library is not initialized.
EGL1161E Illegal field type for construct.
EGL1162E ConstructQuery cannot be called with a variable list.
EGL1163E Cannot disable an invisible menu item.
EGL1164E Edit action failed.
EGL1165E Error occurred while executing hotkey action.
EGL1166E There is no active command to exit from.
EGL1167E There is no active command to continue.
EGL1168E Fatal error: error_text
EGL1169E Field field_name does not exist.
EGL1170E Screen array field field_name is not an array.
EGL1171E Field field_name not found.
EGL1172E Cannot create ConsoleField without a window.
EGL1173E Array field count mismatch.
EGL1174E Form form_name does not exist.
EGL1175E Form form_name does not fit in window window_name.
EGL1176E Field lists do not match.
EGL1177E Form form_name is busy.
EGL1178E Form name form_name already used.
EGL1179E Form form_name is not open.
EGL1180E Cannot create ConsoleForm without a window.
EGL1181E Cannot use KeyObject.getChar() for virtual keys.
EGL1182E Cannot use KeyObject.getCookedChar() for virtual keys.
EGL1187E INTERNAL ERROR
EGL1188E An INTERRUPT signal was received.
EGL1189E Cannot have invisible menu item with no accelerator.
EGL1190E Cannot create a ConsoleLabel without a window.
EGL1191E Menu item item_name does not fit in window.
EGL1192E Menu item item_name does not exist.
EGL1193E Menu mnemonics conflict (key=key_name).
EGL1194E There is no active form.
EGL1198E No blob editor was specified.
EGL1200E No Help File was specified.
EGL1201E No Help message was specified.
EGL1202E Menu is not laid out.
EGL1203E There is no current screen array.
EGL1204E No menu items are visible.
EGL1205E The name for the new window was null.
EGL1206E Attempt to open a null window.
EGL1207E An exception occurred in the prompt.
EGL1208E A QUIT signal was received.
EGL1211E Menu cannot scroll to current item.
EGL1212E Unknown attribute attribute_name.
EGL1213E Error in field field_name.
EGL1214E Not enough variables were supplied.
EGL1215E Window name window_name is already used.
EGL1216E Window size is too small for help screen.
EGL1218E Screen array array_name contents are invalid.
EGL1219E Screen array array_name cannot contain segmented field field_name.
EGL1220E Screen array array_name is incompatible with the data array.
EGL1221E Fields with same name field_name detected.
EGL1222E Console field field_name length is invalid.
EGL1223E Label at [location1, location2] does not fit in the available space.
EGL1224E Field field_name segment at (location1, location2) does not fit in the available space.
EGL1225E Prompt string is too long for the active window.
EGL1226E OpenUI array arguments were invalid.
EGL1228E Only a single variable may be bound to a prompt statement.
EGL1229E Could not determine data binding for console field field_name.
EGL1401E Field field_name at position(position1,position2) does not lie within the form.

EGL1412E Unknown attribute attribute_name.
EGL1537E The remote user ID and password must be set before invoking WebService:service_name function:function_name."
EGL1600E Problem loading service for Component/ExternalService for program_name.".
EGL1601E An error occurred creating a connection to web service operation program_name.
EGL1602E The target URL for the web_service_name web service operation is not valid. URL: Web_service_name.
EGL1603E An error occurred while loading the Web_service_name service. Error: Load_Local_Service_Error.
EGL1604E An error occurred when trying to load a web service. Could not resolve the WSDL port for external service external_service_name.
EGL1605E The component_name component is missing the property_name property which is required by the service implementation.
EGL1606E Service reference reference_name is either missing or does not have a target value.
EGL1607E Service binding: service_binding_name does not exist in the deployment descriptor: descriptor_name.
EGL1608E An error occurred when trying to convert record record_name into a SOAP message. Could not find field field_name in record.
EGL1609E An error occurred when processing an in bound message from a web service. The Java type is incompatible with the EGL type.
EGL1610E An error occurred when processing an out bound message to a web service. The EGL type is incompatible with the Java type
EGL1611E Unable to initialize record record_name.
EGL1612E Cannot convert value value_name to a Calendar.
EGL1613E Cannot convert value value_name to a boolean.
EGL1614E Cannot convert value value_name to a Byte.
EGL1615E Cannot convert value value_name to a short value.
EGL1616E Cannot convert value value_name to a URL.
EGL1617E EGL type not supported as a web service parameter.
EGL1618E An error occurred when trying to create a record array.
EGL1619E Method method_name not found in service service_name.
EGL1620E The service is not a web service.
EGL1621E An error occurred while trying to invoke function: function_name on web service: service_name.
EGL1622E An error occurred while trying to invoke function: function_name on EGL service: service_name.
EGL1623E An error occurred while trying to invoke function: function_name on EGL Service: service_name using variable_name:variable_name.
EGL1624E An error occurred when trying to convert a record_name into a SOAP message.
EGL1625E The service is not a TCPIP service.
EGL1626E An error occurred while trying to invoke function:function_name on entry point:point_name.
EGL1627E An error occurred while trying to load Service binding file file_name.
EGL1628E An error occurred while trying to invoke function:function_name on CICS Service:service_name. Error Code:code_name, Message:message_name.
EGL1629E The service is not a CICS service.
EGL1630E An error occurred getting the operation:operation_name from the WSDL file:filename
EGL1631E An error occurred while trying to invoke function:function_name on iSeries Service:service_name. Error Code:code_name, Message:message_name
EGL1632E An error occurred in remote service service_name, date date, time time, on system system_name.
EGL1633E Run unit ended due to an application error on system system_name trying to call service service_name. Message: message_text
EGL1634E AS400Toolbox execution error: error_data, ?? while calling service service_name on system system_name.
EGL1635E An error occurred in remote service service_name, on system system_name.
EGL1636E Unsupported Service Binding. variable_name was generated for Websphere, but is being called from a non J2EE environment. Regenerate into a non J2EE project.
EGL1700E Could not fill report using connection connection_name.
EGL1704E Could not fill report report_name.
EGL1705E Could not export report report_name.
EGL1800E Property vgj.defaultI4GLNativeLibrary not specified.
EGL1801E Library library_name load failed error_text.
EGL1803E Could not allocate memory.
EGL1804E Could not convert between types.
EGL1805E Invalid Datetime or Interval precision.
EGL1806E Character host variable is too short for the data.
EGL1807E Function not found in symbol table.
EGL1808E A TEXT or BYTE data type must be supplied within this context.
EGL1809E Could not convert the type on the stack to a Any type.
EGL1810E Could not pop the TimeStamp value off the stack.
EGL1820E Could not push the TimeStamp value to the stack.
EGL1830E There is nothing to push off or pop to the stack.
EGL1831E Could not pop the Locator off the stack.
EGL1832E The stack is empty.
EGL1833E Could not copy locator.
EGL1834E A null reference was pushed onto the stack.
EGL1835E Could not push Any to the stack.
EGL1836E Could not assign the stack element to Any type.
EGL1901E Return Type mismatch.
EGL1902E Parameter Type mismatch.
EGL2001E Could not find the EGL source file file_name. Generated code will be run instead.
EGL2002E Could not find the EGL source file for the web transaction named name.
EGL2101E Cannot run program, program_name as a web transaction.
EGL2150E The web transaction was given input UI record record_name, but it was defined with input UI record expected_record.
EGL2151E Input not valid for boolean field.
EGL2153E A timeout occurred in program program_name due to inactivity.
EGL2154E User Interface record record contains too much data to be sent to gateway servlet.
EGL2155E The program was unable to verify data from the gateway servlet. The data identifier is identifier.
EGL2202E Array wrapper array_name cannot be expanded beyond its maximum size. The error occurred in method method_name.
EGL2203E index_value is an invalid index for array wrapper array. Maximum size: max_size. Current size: current_sie.
EGL2204E size is not a valid maximum size for array wrapper array.
EGL2205E object_type is an invalid object type to add to an array wrapper of type array_type.
